Important update: CPA systems migration to Chartered Accountants Ireland
As part of the integration of CPA Ireland and Chartered Accountants Ireland, CPA legacy member and firm records are being migrated to the Chartered Accountants Ireland system. This migration will bring member and firm information together into a single, consistent system, supporting a more seamless and enhanced member experience going forward.
What’s happening:
- CPA legacy member and firm records are being migrated into the Chartered Accountants Ireland system
- Pre‑amalgamation CPA legacy students will remain on the CPA system to complete their studies
- All new students, members and firms joining post‑amalgamation will begin their journey on the Chartered Accountants Ireland system
What this means for you:
- Your membership status, entitlements will not change
- Your designation and membership standing remain the same
- All essential information required to manage your membership will transfer to the new system
- Your relationship with Chartered Accountants Ireland continues as normal
- Your access to services will continue, now delivered through a single, enhanced platform
Accessing your account
- Access to MYCPA account will remain active until 5pm Friday 26 June,
- You will be issued with your Chartered Accountants Ireland log-in credentials on Monday 29 June
- From go‑live on Monday 29 June 2026, you will log in via the Chartered Accountants Ireland website using the credentials you will be provided with (mandatory password reset required)
CPA website access
- The CPA site will no longer be accessible for members and firms after go‑live (cut-off date for access is Friday 26th June COB (5pm).
- CPA legacy students will remain on the CPA system to complete their studies
- CPA legacy member mentors will receive updated access to training records for review and sign‑off
Housekeeping action required
To support a smooth transition and ensure you have access to any records you may need, please complete the following
before 12 June:
1. Update your contact details
Log in to your MyCPA account and ensure your contact information is up to date, including:
- Email address and phone numbers
- Postal address
- Employer details
2. Download any required historic records
If you require copies of historic CPA invoices, receipts or documents, please download them before the migration date.
Historic invoices, certificates and documents will not be accessible through your new account after migration.
If required, we recommend retaining copies of:
- CPD records (screenshots can be taken if needed)
- Invoices and receipts
- Previous annual returns (for older records)
- RI CPD records
- Fit and Proper declarations
2026 Practising certificates will be available in the new system.
Historic information will remain available internally should you need it, but it will not be accessible through your new account. Going forward, all new invoices, certificates and documents will be issued through the new system.
