The slides are a presentation tool only and are not a substitute for the more detailed guidance or material that may either be referred to within the slides, or referred to by the speakers. These slides facilitate the presentation of the course and are applicable only in the context of the speakers’ verbal commentary.

The slides are  written, and the presentations given, in general terms and therefore cannot be relied on to cover specific situations. In many instances the slides contain bullet points which are selected key aspects only of complex legislation and standards, and the presentation is a commentary given in general terms. Application of the principles referred to will depend on particular circumstances involved. Although we endeavour to provide accurate and timely information, there can be no guarantee that such information is accurate as of the date it is received or that it will continue to be accurate in the future. To the greatest extent possible in law, Chartered Accountants Ireland and the speakers accept no duty of care or liability for any loss occasioned to any person arising from any error, omission or inaccuracy in the presentation or the slides, or for any loss occasioned to any person acting or refraining from action as a result of the presentation or any material in the slides.
