The Institute is a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW), a global family that connects over 1.8 million fellow Chartered Accountants and students in more than 190 countries. Together, we support, develop, and promote the role of Chartered Accountants as trusted business leaders, difference makers and advisers.
Global Accounting Alliance
Chartered Accountants Ireland is a member of the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA). One of the key objectives of the GAA is to provide local support to members wherever they are in the world. In order to achieve this, GAA Institutes have agreed to provide specific local support and services to all members of GAA Institutes who are living and working in their territory.
International Federation of Accountants
International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is the global organisation for the accountancy profession, comprising 180 member and associate organizations in 135 jurisdictions, representing more than 3 million professional accountants. With member organisations, they serve the public interest by enhancing the relevance, reputation, and value of the global accountancy profession. Chartered Accountants Ireland Council member, Joan Curry, sits on its board.
Accountancy Europe
Accountancy Europe unites 50 professional organisations from 35 countries that represent 1 million qualified accountants, auditors and advisors. Accountancy Europe translates their daily experience to inform the European policy debate in the areas in which our profession can contribute most, namely: Sustainable Finance, SMEs, Tax, Reporting and Audit. Former Chartered Accountants Ireland president, Shauna Greely, sits on its board.
