This course will be particularly beneficial all
individuals preparing for Gender Pay Gap Reporting, particularly those who are
new to the compiling a report and are looking to gain a thorough understanding of their responsibilities.
Course overview
Ireland’s Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021, and subsequent regulations,
now requires organisations with 50 or more employees to report annually on the
difference in average hourly pay between male and female employees. This webinar
will:
- Explain the legal framework and reporting obligations
under Irish law.
- Clarify the difference between gender pay gap and
equal pay.
- Walk through the calculation methods for mean and
median pay gaps, bonus gaps, and quartile distributions.
- Explore common challenges and how to address them.
- Provide guidance on how to use the reporting process to drive meaningful
change in gender representation and pay equity.
Key learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the scope and requirements of Ireland’s
Gender Pay Gap legislation.
- Accurately calculate and interpret gender pay gap metrics including mean,
median, bonus gaps, and quartiles.
- Distinguish between gender pay gap and equal pay concepts.
- Identify organisational factors contributing to pay gaps and
representation imbalances.
- Prepare a compliant and transparent GPG report aligned with legal and
ethical standards.
- Recognise the strategic value of GPG reporting in advancing diversity,
equity, and inclusion.
- Apply practical steps to narrow the gap, including unconscious bias
training, mentorship programmes, and inclusive recruitment practices
