No prior experience in AI is required, as the course covers foundational concepts before delving into how to use AI with Excel. This course provides an understanding of using ChatGPT and Copilot to enhance your capabilities in financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

- Overview of Artificial Intelligence
- Some examples of working AI tools - ChatGPT,
MidJourney, Dall-E, Copilot.
- Introduction to ChatGPT & Copilot
- Some Prompt Engineering techniques.
- Using ChatGPT and Copilot to accomplish some
intermediate and advanced Tasks in Excel, such as:
- Generating test data
- Cleaning and formatting the information
- Performing analysis using Power Query and Power
Pivot
- Apply conditional formatting
- Produce a graph
- Create complex formulas like VLOOKUP and INDEX /
MATCH
- Generate a reusable user defined function using the
LAMBDA function
- Create a VBA macro
- Data Security implications

Prior to the course, all participants should register for a free account on ChatGPT: https://chat.openai.com/auth/login so they can complete the hands-on exercises. If possible – with a Microsoft Account – also register on https://copilot.microsoft.com/.

Having two monitors is strongly recommended for this training. It allows you to view the trainers PC in one monitor and the application that is the subject of the training in the other. If you only have a single screen please inform the trainer – ideally before the training session.
- Microsoft Office / Apps Version
Participants should have a Microsoft 365 subscription but supported older Office desktop versions are workable.
We prepare the files and deliver the course using Windows 11 (participants with Windows 10 ESU are fine). If you are using a MacBook or other platform please be aware that there can sometimes be incompatibilities and there are certain features that are not available on the Macintosh edition of Microsoft 365 (Office).
