Join us for our annual Cork Society Christmas Lunch at the Maryborough Hotel
on Friday, 12 December 2025 from 12-4pm. This year, the event will feature a
mulled-wine reception, three-course lunch with a festive choir performance and
entertainment from Cork's own comedian, Chris Kent.
About Chris Kent
Hailing from Cork, Chris
left his day job as an electrician to pursue comedy. He has shared the stage
with Bill Burr, Dylan Moran, and David O’Doherty, and
performed at major festivals including Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic, and
Edinburgh Fringe.
On screen, he appears in The Young Offenders (BBC/RTÉ) and
Women on the Verge (UKTV/RTÉ), with radio and TV credits across RTÉ and BBC.
Chris has won multiple comedy awards and is recognized as one of Ireland’s top
comedic talents.
