Chartered
Accountants Ireland has written a letter to Ministers Donohoe and McGrath calling for four essential financial
and expenditure measures to be implemented with immediate effect if NPHET Level
5 restrictions are introduced. Wage
subsidy supports should be restored to the stand of the TWSS. All fiduciary taxes for the duration of the
Level 5 restrictions should be eligible for the tax debt warehousing
scheme. Reporting and filing obligations
to the various government agencies should be suspended and a premises
maintenance grant should be introduced to compensate businesses for the potential
damage to premises over the restriction period.
