The Trinity MBA offers participants a rigorous, experiential, and transformative education, preparing future leaders for the challenges of tomorrow.
Delivered over two years on a part-time basis, Ireland’s No.1 ranked MBA is geared towards executives poised at pivotal junctures in their careers.
Chartered Accountant Hugh Nolan completed Trinity’s Executive MBA programme in 2022. Nolan wanted to develop his leadership skills and build a network outside of his professional background and felt that an MBA was the right option for him to achieve these goals.
“Trinity’s focus on strategic projects jumped out to me and really demonstrated their applied learning approach across areas such as leadership and strategy,” he said.
Nolan is currently Vice President of Finance, Resources and Diversity at Dundalk Institute of Technology and places considerable value on his MBA experience.
“The MBA has truly changed how I approach tasks and how I engage teams around me. The project work was a real learning experience. It’s daunting to work alongside others for a huge portion of the programme however, it is probably one of the most important learning outcomes of the entire MBA.”
Laura Savage, also a Chartered Accountant, was working in the aviation leasing industry when she decided to undertake the MBA. She felt it would broaden her professional knowledge in areas such as leadership and negotiation.
“As my professional experience is in a niche area, I wanted to increase my marketability across industries whilst also expanding my professional network,” Savage said.
Savage, who completed the programme in 2021, chose the Trinity Executive MBA because of its focus on live-action.
“I felt I would have the ability to gain insights from different industries, and I was excited to work on the various projects.
“They provided us with the opportunity to learn and apply academic knowledge to real-life business problems while simultaneously enabling us to learn from the diverse and varied skillsets of team members.”
When asked if there was any advice she would give an accountant thinking of completing an MBA, Laura said, “My advice would be to go for it. I promise that it will be a rewarding experience. While there are many tangible benefits for undertaking an MBA, it is important not to discount the many intangible ones, which include the great friendships you make, the professional network that you develop and the access you have to the great Trinity alumni when the course is completed.”
