Chartered Accountants Ireland’s webmaster, Lorna Daly, together with her team, delivered the new Institute website. She lists some of the main features of the new site:
- Responsive design: the website works on all devices and provides better access to services on the go;
- One-stop-shop: there used to be 12 websites and now there is one – everything is accessible via CharteredAccountants.ie;
- Simplified content: the main Institute website has been streamlined from 10,000 pages to 4,000 while the full set of Chariot and TaxSource information remains available. This should improve search results and ensure that users access the most timely, accurate information;
- Integration: for the first time, the Institute’s website and back-end systems are integrated. This allows users to purchase all the products they need online and see a complete transaction history; and
- Enhanced security: protecting member and student information is paramount and we have put in place all necessary security and accessibility measures. To enable this, all members and students must change their password on initial login. This is a very straightforward process but anyone encountering any issues should contact us.
