The latest Covid-19 Support Schemes statistics include updated information on the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme (EWSS), the Business Resumption Support Scheme (BRSS) and the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme (CRSS).
Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme
There were 36,300 employers registered for the EWSS on 21 October. October payments to date amount to €189 million, which was paid to 20,400 employers in support of 231,400 employments.
The August status of September employees shows that 16,500 employees moved from the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) to an employment supported by the EWSS in September.
Business Resumption Support Scheme
Registration for BRSS opened on 6 September 2021. So far, 1,260 businesses with 1,350 trades have availed of BRSS and claims of €4.2 million have been paid under the scheme.
Covid Restrictions Support Scheme
There are currently 340 businesses with 520 premises registered for CRSS. 17,400 premises have claimed restart weeks and are now trading without the support of CRSS.
