Negotiations on public CBC Reporting Directive

Mar 08, 2021

Following on from last week’s news on public Country by Country (CbC) Reporting, the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, was mandated by Member States to engage in negotiations with the European Parliament for the swift adoption of the proposed Directive on public CbC Reporting.

The Directive requires multinational enterprises with a total consolidated revenue of more than €750 million to disclose publicly the income tax they pay in each EU Member State, together with other relevant tax-related information. If the Directive is adopted Member States will have two years to transpose the Directive into national law.
