RoRo movement – Temporary facility for ENS by Revenue

Jan 12, 2021

Revenue is implementing a temporary easement to alleviate difficulties businesses are experiencing in lodging safety and security Entry Summary (ENS) Declarations in respect of ‘roll-on roll-off’ (RoRo) goods movements. This temporary easement has been in place since last Friday (8 January).

Revenue advises businesses to use this Movement Reference Number [MRN] where they are unable to generate an ENS MRN due to the absence of key information or because of other impediments that prevent them completing the ENS process.

ENS MRN detail = 21IE99900000000001

This will facilitate the completion of customs formalities, the creation and population of the PBN and ultimately the boarding of the ferry for movement of goods.

Further information on the temporary easement is available in this Revenue press release.

For RoRo movements, Revenue has compiled a list of the most common PBN errors and related issues and how they can be rectified. See the list here
