The first meeting of the Women leaders in tax transparency programme took place last week. Twenty-three tax professionals from developing-country members of the Global Forum are participating in this first edition. Reducing gender gaps in member jurisdictions is one of the goals of the Global Forum’s capacity-building strategy, and the Women leaders in tax transparency programme is a landmark step in this direction.
The two-day workshop focused on the tax transparency standards. The aim of the programme is to promote female leadership in tax transparency and an exchange of information through a long-term programme while creating a network to ensure lasting co-operation and experience sharing. The programme includes trainings, leadership and mentorship modules.
