Release date: 8 July 2025
This toolkit is a licenced product. The annual licence fee
(€275/£230+ VAT) is payable on the first anniversary of purchase of this
toolkit, and annually thereafter.
Many practices have medium-sized or
large groups of companies as clients, which are required to prepare consolidated
financial statements and have them audited.
The Group PQA toolkit is a dynamic set of audit procedures
designed for Group audits in ROI and NI. It is designed to be used in
conjunction with the Procedures for Quality (PQAs). It cannot be used
independently of the PQAs.
The design of the Group PQAs recognises the huge variety
of group structures that may exist and allows you to easily tailor your
procedures to your group client and your firm’s specific audit approach.
Guidance is provided with the toolkit to illustrate how the Group PQAs and the
entity PQAs may be used to audit the group.
The Excel format allows you to include schedules and tests
as separate integrated worksheets. If you use Microsoft Office 365, your PQA
files can be readily shared online amongst your audit team.
The toolkit consists of the following:
- Group Audit work programmes covering planning, audit
fieldwork and completion for the Group audit, along with lead schedules,
contained within an Excel workbook;
- Audit work programmes for a Shell Holding Company,
included within the Excel workbook;
- Group Audit Planning Memorandum;
- Group Memorandum of Significant Matters;
- Template Group Letters of Representation for ROI and NI;
- Component Audit Instructions for third-party
component auditors;
- Guide to using the toolkit, and scenarios showing examples of how it
should be used in a number of group structures.
The Group PQAs will be regularly updated to keep you
compliant with changes in company law, accounting standards and auditing
standards.
