Accountant - Finance+Treasury- Louth base

A Louth based manufacturing base has an opportunity for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer your role will be a key one at a time of growth and offers huge potential to develop a wide skills set due to potential job rotation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer
• Preparation of weekly cash flow projections
• Maintenance of Debtors ledger and the associated client follow-up
• Preparation of payroll
• Preparation of monthly management accounts together with a highlight commentary within 3 days of month-end.
• Maintenance of Balance sheet reconciliations file
• Sales invoicing in accordance with client contract terms
• Effective and proactive working with the management team.
• Preparation for and attendance at weekly meetings (Contracts, Sales Pipeline etc)
• Maintaining and enhancing finance sections of Smartsheet application (subject to training)
• Assist with the implementation of new standards and IS applications as the opportunity arises.
• Participating in various LEAN projects
• Assist with statutory audit and similar initiatives
• Assist with initiatives to manage job profitability and the integration of finance with factory floor activities
• Assist with on-the-job training where appropriate
• Identify relevant and suitable CPD opportunities
• Participate in a role rotation with the Accountant – Management and Systems position, tentatively planned for March 2020.
• Other ad-hoc matters as they arise
