Financial Controller - Kerry - SME -Tech (Very exciting role!)

Our client is a growing SME with an international footprint in the digital space seeking to hire a full time permanent Financial Controller to work very closely with the CFO and entrepreneurial owner/CEO.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an ACA with at least 2 or 3 years PQE keen to relocate to Kerry. Exceptional commercial and strategc exposure as this company begins an exponential growth journey.
You will lead a finance division left in excellent shape by the outgoing Part time incumbent.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
• Managing the insourcing of the preparation of management accounts.
• Implementing a new accounting system, management control processes and policies.
• Ongoing responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Invoicing and cash collection.
• Management of banking, tax and compliance in respect of US subsidiary.
• FX management.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of all tax returns.
• Responsible for running the company payroll.
• Managing the interaction and relationship with the Company’s external Accountants.
• Cashflow and cost management.
• Completion of end of year financial reporting.
• Company secretarial duties.
• Submission of grant applications and interacting with state agencies.
• Supporting the CEO and management team on ad hoc projects.
• Managing office administration and staff.

Experience and Qualifications:
• Qualified ACA / FCA
• You will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Financial or Management Accountant in a commercial environment and/or in a professional accountancy practice.
• Ability to work in a small and rapidly changing company environment.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Energetic and enthusiastic disposition.
• Strong IT skills. Good experience with accounting systems (especially cloud based) and financial modelling expertise would be an advantage
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communicator.
• Highly Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
