Our client is a the procurement arm of a major FMCG Group and responsible for materials purchasing and logistics as well as being the key financial and strategic decision-making hub within the Group. The companies’ offices are in South Dublin.
Job Purpose
The role will be Financial Accountant mainly focused on the Irish entity but provide accounting support to the Group.
You will be responsible for supporting the accounts month end processes, budget/cash analysis & supporting the wider finance team locally and throughout the Group.
Job Key Responsibilities:
· Support the day-to-day accounts processes.
· Preparation of monthly management accounts.
· Assist in audit processes, including responding to auditor enquiries.
· Assist with budgeting and forecasting process.
· Maintaining fixed asset register.
· Provide support to relevant IT initiatives and systems projects, as appropriate.
· Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements.
· Ad hoc reporting to facilitate and support local and Group finance teams.
· Manage the day- to day operation of the procurement process.
· Analyse stock levels of group affiliates.
· Preparation of purchase and sale orders.
· Letters of credit pack compilation and submission to the financial institutions.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
· 2 – 3 years’ accounting experience through a medium sized practice with SME clients perhaps.
· Experience in month end close process
· Newly qualified ACA
· Proficient in MS Office; Excel essential
· Strong IT skills and familiarity with financial accounting and reporting systems
· Knowledge and experience in Procurement /Logistics/Supply Chain an advantage but not a requirement
