Our client is a nice SME with a super collegiate culture in the white goods sector seeking a Financial Controller to lead a steady 'well oiled' finance team and manage 2 ACA qualified financial accountants.
Working closely with a really good MD (Part time option feasible also)
Target start in May
Key focus is Month end - Audit is done already
Management accounts experience and monthly pack is ideal.
INTACT accounting system
The FC will have a broad involvement in running the business.
Reporting to the Managing Director this role will involve overseeing many of the day to day activities including leading a small finance team.
Specific duties will include:
Oversee financial reporting
Monthly management accounts preparation
Statutory accounts preparation and compliance
Cash management
Tax Compliance
Oversight of Company HR and IT management
Manage external relationships
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant with similar experience and desire to work in a diverse general management position
Experience of working in a hands on role in an SME
Results orientated
Excellent technical abilities
Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
Excellent communication, customer care and people management skills
Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills
Strong IT experience, Intact accounting software experience would be preferable
Online IT experience would be useful
Experience with invoice discounting would be an advantage
