Finance Manager - Report to CFO - 2/3 years PQE - Midlands

Our client is a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical services provider across Ireland and UK specialising in pharmacy sales, marketing, and distribution,

Reporting directly to the CFO, The ideal candidate will be n ACA with circa three years’ experience + . The ideal person will be a team leader, able to adapt to meet the needs of colleagues and customers with a proven track record of delivering high performance and excellent financial analysis

Role Responsibilities
Reporting
· Monthly management accounts.
· Consolidated management accounts.
· Annual budgeting process (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow) and quarterly review.
· Performance (sales/margin/division/rep/agency/customer/product) reporting, along with gross margin control.
· Ad-hoc financial reporting as required from time to time.
Financial Records
· Ensuring accuracy of financial records
· Financial system processes and controls.
· Ensuring the development of financial systems in line with company growth and business requirements.
· Financial process interfacing and automation initiatives.
Working Capital
· Monitoring of net working capital (stock + trade debtors less trade creditors).
· Working capital budgeting.
· Monitoring of stock investment and slow-moving inventory.
· Monitoring of trade debtors to ensure payment within terms.
· Monitoring of trade creditors re alignment with working capital.
· Internal controls around working capital.
Cost Control
· Cost control monitoring & reporting.
· Cost control projects and initiatives.
Team Management
· Recruitment, training, mentoring and management of the finance team.
· Goal setting (for finance function and individually).
· HR management.
· Performance reviews.
Banking and Treasury
· Cashflow management (see working capital above).
· Cashflow budgeting/reporting.
· Banking processes/controls and approvals.
· Implementation and maintenance of FX hedging policies.
· Management of day to day banking requirements and relationships.
· Lending/leasing requirements.
· Internal controls.
Taxes & Regulation
· Ensuring compliance with all tax obligations (CT, VAT, PAYE and other Taxes).
· Ensuring compliance with relevant finance related regulatory requirements.
· Management of day to day tax advisor relationship.
· Monitoring of taxation & regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
· Internal controls.
· Year end audit and day to day management of auditor relationship.
· Ensuring compliance with company secretarial filing requirements. Co-ordination and execution of company secretarial requirements as advised by company secretarial agents or legal advisors from time to time.
Management Support
· Day to day support finance related support for the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Managing Directors, General Managers, Commercial Directors and other members of the senior management teams in Pharmed Ireland and UK as required.
Fleet Management
· Fleet management oversight.
· Policies, systems and approvals.
Distribution Contract Management
· Review of supplier distribution agreements.
· Compilation of new suppler distribution agreements, where required.
· Management of supplier contract database and monitoring of renewals.
Acquisitions
· Assistance with the appraisal of potential acquisitions/bolt-on’s
· Integration of acquisitions/bolt-on’s from a financial/systems perspective.
Legal
· Management of day to day routine legal related matters for the company.
· Management of the day to day relationship with the company’s legal advisors.
