Our client is a large firm in Belfast seeking a management accountant to join the Finance Operations Team which is a fast growing, managed service team providing bookkeeping, management accounts, corporate tax, VAT, and statutory accounting functions for a wide range of clients.
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Operations team delivering services to our clients.
The role is UK based and you will manage a team who work from a number of UK and wider global locations.
Location is flexible across the UK. Ideally you will be able to work from one of the following office locations: Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester or Leeds.
There will be some travel within the UK
Your key responsibilities
• Processing invoices
• Preparing payment runs, journals and quarter end VAT reports
• Creating month end workbooks
• Answering client queries
• Supporting statutory account activities as required including preparation of accounts and or audit / review of statutory accounts
Skills and attributes for success
We are looking for qualified ACAs with experience in a professional service environment either in a managed services delivery or advisory capacity.
To qualify for the role you must have
Knowledge and /or experience of the areas below which will support your responsibilities:
• Finance function and accounting operations
• Management reporting
• Cost and Margin analysis
• Preparation of tax compliance returns for VAT
• Finance function processes (RTR, PTP, OTC)
• Accounting standards
Ideally, you’ll also
