Finance Manager
Our client is a family owned business operating primarily in the entertainment industry in Ireland and the UK. The Company has a number of associate and subsidiary companies.
The Role
The role will be responsible for the management of the financial function of the co. and a number of its subsidiaries, while also providing oversight of managed subsidiaries and investments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and other finance teams. The role will also manage certain ancillary activities.
Core Responsibilities
Responsibility for all aspects of the preparation of monthly management accounts for the parent and subsidiary companies
Oversight of managed subsidiaries and investments to include reviewing management accounts, Board packs, etc.
Preparing and presenting monthly consolidation and reporting pack
Company tax and CRO compliance
Management of annual audit
Management of certain ancillary activities
Reviewing and enhancing current reporting systems
Skill & Knowledge Requirements
Fully qualified ACA / FCA with relevant experience as a Finance Manager
Strong IT skills
Proven track record of technical competence and commercial aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well as part of a team as well as individually
Very high standards in terms of timeliness and accuracy
Good time and task management skills and an ability to manage competing deadlines
Self motivated and a problem solver.
The benefit package which applies in respect of both positions includes:
- 21 days’ annual leave
- Contributory (defined contribution) pension scheme with employer matching of 3, 4 and 5 per cent p.a. at 1, 5 and 10 years’ service
- Death in service benefit of 4x times annual base salary
