Senior Financial Accountant
Duties
• Ownership for number of international legal entities, preparation of statutory financial statements in house or with assistance of external service providers in accordance with local GAAP.
• Manage year-end external audits, close out the audits in a timely fashion. Collaborate with Legal team to ensure completion of all external filings.
• Local GAAP Accounting on a monthly cycle. Providing recommendations to management regarding local GAAP accounting treatments Vs US GAAP
• Support international tax team with preparation of tax returns. Responsibility for preparation of tax notes and reconciliations for statutory financial statements.
• Prepare VAT & other compliance returns on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
• Support and educate junior accounting staff by expanding their GAAP knowledge
• Drive process improvements and lead exciting accounting transformation projects to achieve scalability, efficiency, and productivity.
• Participate in month end close activities under US GAAP by ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately. Contribute to month / QTR end management pack preparation.
• Reconcile a variety of general ledger accounts according to Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Assist in the documentation and compliance testing related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
• Ad Hoc projects and analyses.
Skills
• Essential - Fully qualified ACA with up to 2 year post qualified experience but not essential
• Highly motivated self-starter who is able to advice management on accounting challenges, policies and accounting treatments, passionate about continuous improvements.
• Fluent English speaker. Additional language is a distinctive advantage.
• Comfortable in a fluid environment that changes as the business evolves.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP (e.g SAP) / financial reporting tools (e.g Workiva) are essential. Desirable working skills with Power BI, Blackline, Tableau.
• Excellent communication skills.
(18 to 24 month contract.)
