OVERVIEW
Oxfam Ireland have recently established an Internal Audit function and are looking for volunteers to assist the resident Internal Auditor.
HEAD OFFICE INTERNAL AUDITORS – ROLE DESCRIPTION
Oxfam Ireland have two main offices in Dublin and Belfast. There are six key departments: Operations, Finance, Fundraising, International Programmes, Public Affairs and Digital.
The duration of an audit may vary, but generally an audit can spread over a 4-to-8-week period. The successful candidate should aim to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to this role. The hours are flexible, but the candidate should have availability during normal working hours in order to work with other volunteers and the resident Internal Auditor.
The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of internal audits including planning, execution and reporting.
To join us as a Head Office Internal Audit Volunteer, candidates should possess a range of skills and experience including:
• Audit or Compliance experience (charity sector experience a bonus but not essential).
• Time commitment over a 4 to 8 weeks period.
• Proficient in the use of computers (Excel and Word).
• Ability to attend the Dublin or Belfast office is a bonus, however, most of the work can be performed remotely.
Expense allowances for travel and subsistence are available in line with the Oxfam Ireland Policy.
