Last week, a delegation from the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Tax Matters met with representatives from key government bodies including the Department of Finance, the Revenue Commissioners, and the Finance Committee and the Committee for Budgetary Oversight of the Oireachtas.
The discussions focused on the tax climate in Ireland and important tax reforms. It was highlighted while meeting representatives of the multinational enterprises that these companies will not leave Ireland even if the government increased its tax rate.
