HMRC published an article in Agent Update 91 regarding its HMRC manuals feedback routes. Since the initial message about feedback routes in September 2020, responses through the ‘Is this page useful? route have almost tripled. HMRC advise that this has been very helpful and HMRC would like that to continue. However there still hasn’t been a significant increase in feedback comments that give the detail needed to understand the issues with a page and the improvements that can be made. HMRC have therefore asked us to share the below message.
“Manuals update indexes known issue
At our last Guidance Strategy Forum in October, we provided an update in item 5 (minutes on GOV.UK) about a known issue with our manuals update indexes not updating with the latest change notes. Our manuals platform team have been working continuously to resolve the issue and have now implemented a fix to all manuals. The pages of manuals being updated have always been shown on the Latest documents from HMRC page (GOV.UK) but if you do identify any manuals where the change notes still aren’t appearing within the individual manual’s updates index, please let us know.”
