HMRC has recently updated its Check when you can expect a reply from HMRC tool. This can now be used to check when you should receive a reply to certain types of requests about PAYE for employers, national insurance contributions issues, including registering a PAYE scheme and claiming a Construction Industry scheme refund.
HMRC advises that the Where’s my reply tool and/or the HMRC service dashboard should be consulted for the expected response date before any progress chasing calls are made.
