FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - 2 to 5 years PQE Dublin 2 (Energy ) (€60k)

Our client is a very exciting rapidly growing SME in the Energy sector seeking a top 10 or 20 practice qualified ACA with 2 to 5 years PQE circa.
Multiple entities - consols / Analytical projects / valuations / corp finance elements / financial modelling / multicurrencies & jurisdictions.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - Reporting to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, your duties will include:

• Managing the day to day finance functions;
• Managing the payroll function;
• Oversight of other staff in the accounts payable and accounts receivable (including EU VAT customers) process and review reconciliation of all bank accounts, intercompany accounts and sales;
• Oversight of Intercompany invoicing;
• Balance sheet maintenance and reconciliation of each account on a monthly basis;
• Preparation of monthly individual and consolidated management accounts and variance analysis to strict reporting deadlines for 5 entities and a number of SPV entities;
• Review and submission of VAT returns to Tax Advisor for Irish and UK entities;
• Co-ordinate and prepare annual audit pack for external auditors in UK and external Accountant in Ireland;
• Review of internal financial controls;
• Project budget to actual monthly analysis;
• Liaising with engineering teams and senior management regarding budgeting;
• Maintain reconciliation of work in progress;
• Completion of ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:
• ACA qualification with 2-5 years or more PQE in Industry;
• Significant experience in group accounting under Irish/UK GAAP;
• Experience in tax compliance with Revenue and HMRC under CT, VAT and PAYE/PRSI/NI tax heads;
• Experience in cash flow forecasting across multiple projects concurrently;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small finance team;
• Multicurrency and multi-jurisdiction experience.
