Our client is a leading business advisory and accountancy firm, ranking among the top firms in Ireland. Due to continued growth and expansion in our audit department, they are now seeking to recruit an Audit Seniors.

They are looking to recruit an Audit Seniors who will be self-motivated, capable of working on their own initiative and have the ability to lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of highquality audit assignments to fieldwork completion, final accounts and audit report stage, within the required timescale for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will also supervise and direct junior members of the audit team during assignments.
You will have direct access to partners and the ability to provide a valued opinion within the team. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious and driven candidates to progress within the firm.

Key result areas
1. Ensure all audit assignments are adequately planned and staff are briefed in advance on the specific risks of the assignment. 2. Draft high-quality financial statements and audit reports that include practical recommendations to address all risk issues and control weaknesses identified during the assignment, with a clear supporting rationale. 3. Deliver audit assignments to a high standard of quality, ensuring conformance with FRS102 and Irish GAAP, addressing key risks effectively and adhering to allotted timescales, budgets and resource allocation. Knowledge of IFRS would also be an advantage. 4. Liaise closely and build effective working relationships with staff in all disciplines (tax, company secretarial etc.) to facilitate and support the audit process. 5. Ensure the Partner is appropriately briefed at all times to include significant issues on the work being undertaken and any issues. 6. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff allocated to audit assignment.

Person specification
Essential knowledge and skills:
 Excellent achievements to include qualification as a chartered accountant, ideally having trained in a Top 10 audit environment.  Strong technical competence, detailed practical knowledge and demonstrable understanding of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102 and CA2014 and awareness of topical issues. Knowledge of IFRS is also an advantage.  Sound knowledge of the development of audit strategies and Terms of Engagement for individual engagements.  Proven ability to work on a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.  Proficient in Caseware, Relate Accounts Production, MS Excel and MS Word.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at any one time.  Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.  Ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice.  Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
