A dynamic and fast-growing retail group with 18 stores nationwide, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and value to our customers. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated and capable Group Financial Controller to join our team at our North Dublin Head Office.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Group Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function. This is a full-time, office-based role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is ready to take responsibility for driving financial performance, process improvements, and delivering key insights to support business decisions.
The Group Financial Controller will report directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process across the group
• Provide actionable financial insights and reporting to support operational and strategic decisions
• Collaborate with store managers and department heads to monitor and control costs
• Work closely with external auditors and manage year-end audit process
• Develop and enhance internal controls, financial systems, and procedures and manage the current finance team of 4.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation within finance processes
• Support stock control, margin analysis, and retail performance KPIs
Key Requirements:
• Fully qualified ACA
• Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification experience, ideally within retail or a fast-paced commercial environment
• Proven experience taking full responsibility for a finance function
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and comfort working with large datasets
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly desirable
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership
