Excellent pass rates – our students qualify faster

practice

If you are thinking about enrolling as a student with Chartered Accountants Ireland the recently published exam results should be encouraging writes Education Director Ronan O’Loughlin.  Ronan commented the excellent results which follow a stellar result at CAP1 in May 2016 are very encouraging.  Some key results:

  • The average paper pass rates for first time candidates was 82% (Up from 75% in 2015);
  • The range of pass rates was up across all papers and ranged from 77% to 84%;
  • 88% of students either passed all papers or passed at least one of the papers sat (up from 83% in 2015);
  • 60% of students are now eligible to proceed to FAE in the Autumn (up from 51% in the prior year.  The re-sit examinations in the autumn will enable this number to increase.  Many of the students sitting CAP2 do so on a modular basis and can be expected to complete this in 2017.

Overall Chartered Accountants Ireland continues to attract some of the brightest and capable candidates and their results are well ahead of other Institutes.  Hence students qualify faster with us.   This is of course the result of hard work by students, our lecturers and sponsoring employers.

Make a great decision and begin your part time studies with us this year? The deadline for enrolment is 1 September so there is still time.
