About us

The four objectives of the Leinster Society committee

• To provide educational, professional and social opportunities to members across the province;
• To enable our members to engage in charitable activities;
• To assist in promoting the Chartered Accountant brand;
• To represent members to the Chartered Accountants Ireland.

The Leinster Society strives to provide an attractive programme of events for our members each year. These include our flagship events such as the highly popular golf event, the Horse Show event and the annual Christmas Lunch. We also carry out the annual Salary Survey and it's launch event, the prestigious Published Accounts Awards, the premier forum for recognition of excellence in financial reporting on this island.

And each year the Chair will host a number of adhoc and family friendly events, in order to provide networking opportunities for our members at subsidised prices. Some of these events feature charity elements, such as our Christmas Lunch, which we are proud to maintain each year.

We also run the ‘Expert Series’ of educational webinars to provide members with tangible advice to tackle their life admin, with topics ranging from Mortgages and Pensions to Personal Tax and Excel tips.
 
We regularly collaborate with other committees and networks, on in-person and virtual events, which contributes to meeting our third objective. 

The Leinster Society participates in frequent dialogue with the Institute and other District Society Chairs. In addition, the Chair is part of the District Society Consultative Committee, which enables the Society to partake in the discussions about issues that relate to our members nationally and globally, to suggest changes, to learn about future developments and to raise any concerns. 

We continue to seek appropriate sponsorship for our events in order to ensure the events stay cost-effective. 

Leinster Society Committee members

The 2025/2026 committee comprises of fourteen elected members representing a mix of Chartered Accountants from industry and practice. Additionally, the monthly meetings are attended by the Leinster Society Executives, our CASSD representative and an ACA Professional representative.
