PAA 2017 - Attend the 40th anniversary awards ceremony

Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society presents The Published Accounts Awards 2017 Gala dinner 7pm for 7:30pm on Friday 24 November 2017 in The Shelbourne Hotel.  This event, which includes a four course dinner, will be hosted by Society Chairman, Oliver Holt who will be assisted on the night by well-known comedian and radio broadcaster, Neil Delamere.

Following the presentation of the awards there will be live music from A Few Good Men – a high-energy four-piece band offering a repertoire of popular hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s with a DJ afterwards.

Who is Eligible for PAA ?

Entry is open to all organisations: public and private, State owned bodies, charities and other organisations that publish annual reports and accounts.

For any organisation to qualify, they must meet the following criteria:

  • The Company must be registered either in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  • The Company's head office or main operation is situated either in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  • It has had a significant presence/history in either the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.

What are the categories and awards ?

There are 12 Awards to be won – eight Individual Category Awards and four Overall Awards. The Overall Awards comprise of:

  1. Overall Winner Award,
  2. Best Social Responsibility Reporting Award
  3. Best Branding, Communication & Marketing Award and
  4. Best Digital Reporting Award

The finalists from each category are eligible for consideration for each of the four overall awards.

The 8 Individual category awards are outlined in the table below:

1 Large Irish or NI company listed on the Main Securities Market Market capitalisation >€1bn as at annual report date
2 Small/mid-sized Irish or NI company listed on the Main Securities Market Market capitalisation <€1bn as at annual report date
3 Large Irish or NI company – listed on a foreign market only Market capitalisation >€1bn as at annual report date
4 Small/mid-sized Irish or NI company – listed on a foreign market only Market capitalisation <€1bn as at annual report date
5 Enterprise Securities Market company All companies quoted on the ESM
6 Statutory and unquoted companies Semi-state organisations
All private companies
7 Large Charities and “not for profit” organisations with charitable status
Total Incoming Resources> €10M as at annual report date
8 Small/Mid Charities and “not for profit” organisations with charitable status
Total Incoming Resources < €10M as at annual report date

What financial period is eligible?

The Annual Report and accounts which qualify for entry for the 2017 Awards are those in respect of a financial period ending during the year to 31 March 2017.

How to enter PAA ?

If your company would like to be considered for the 2017 Published Accounts Awards simply do the following:

  • You need to submit a soft copy (preferably in pdf format) of your organisation’s Annual Report and Accounts to publishedaccountsawards@charteredaccountants.ie and
  • Include any other relevant information such as employee reports or corporate social responsibility information.
  • Alternatively, you may forward 5 hard copies of your organisation’s Annual Report and Accounts to the Leinster Society office.
  • Note : Only the documents (whether in hard copy or soft copy format) submitted to us will be considered for the competition.
  • The closing date for receipt of your organisation’s Annual Report and Accounts is Friday 7 July 2017.
