Format
This course will be delivered via Zoom on 17 May 2023 from 9.30 am to 12.30
pm. The Zoom link will be emailed to participants the day before the course is
due to take place.
This course will follow the Virtual Classroom format and encompass two, three-hour sessions. The online interactive live sessions will utilise the functionality of our online learning platform and will be an engaging, collaborative manner of learning. This session will not be recorded, and therefore attendance is required.
Who should attend
Anyone in industry, practice or the public sector who wants to develop a core
understanding of carbon emissions, carbon accounting and the terminology and
frameworks involved and how the data can be integrated into a company decision
making process. It will offer insight on the possible future legislative
changes. It will provide a working methodology for how to integrate
sustainability data into a decision making process.

and the action we need to take to reduce them
- Introduction to the GHG Protocol and how corporates identify and calculate
carbon emissions
- How companies gather and collate carbon emissions data in practice
- An overview of ESG reporting and future developments
- An overview of the changing landscape for carbon emissions reporting
requirements
- How carbon and sustainability data can aid a company decision-making
process
- How verified data can lead to improved company performance.

actions we need to take to reduce them
- Understand how companies identify and calculate carbon emissions and how
this data is gathered and collated in practice
- Understand how to calculate a company carbon footprint report that is
verifiable
- Understand the ESG reporting environment and how a company can measure
their impact.
- Explain how corporates develop their global strategy to incorporate carbon
and other ESG data and set targets to incorporate this data
- Understand the future legislative changes globally in all sustainable
reporting and how this will impact strategies
