Key learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Kingsley Aikins questions the traditional advice to "work
hard and let your good work speak for itself". It is other people who will speak
for you, not your work. That people do business with people they know, like and
trust is all the truer in this rapidly changing world, disrupted by digital
technologies. Your network is how you will build such trust. People often get
paid early in their careers for what they do but later for who they
are; your network reflects who you are.
Speaker Bio
Rosemary Keogh, CEO Chartered Accountants Ireland
Kingsley Aikins’ career spans more than 30 years. He was the
IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland representative in Australia and New Zealand,
where he also founded The Lansdowne Club, one of the world’s largest Irish
business networks. He then moved to the US as CEO of The Ireland Funds. In 2011
he founded The Networking Institute, delivering masterclasses for companies in
accountancy, financial services, law, consulting and technology sectors. In
2024, he cofounded The Diaspora Institute with Dr Martin Russell.
