Advanced Financial Analysis (ROI/NI)

Summary

This course reviews the main components of the annual report and provides an understanding of the basis of the company’s past performance so as to form a reasoned assessment of its prospective future performance.It examines challenges encountered in analysing annual reports and provides exposure to ratios and techniques used in assessing financial statements.

Format

This course will be delivered via Zoom on Wednesday 18 November 2026 from 9.30am to 4.30pm . Zoom link will be emailed to participants the day before the course is due to take place.

This course will follow the Virtual Classroom format. The online interactive live sessions will utilise the functionality of our online learning platform and will be an engaging, collaborative manner of learning. This session will not be recorded, and therefore attendance is required .

Who should attend

This course is suitable for senior financial professionals in corporates and financial institutions who are regularly confronted with applied problems in the areas of financial evaluation, managing shareholder value, evaluating prospects of corporate failure, financial planning and /or valuation.

Speaker

Louise O'Gorman -Louise is an Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin and has lectured in finance, accounting and governance in a number of universities and has led programmes in accounting, fintech and sustainable finance. Her research interests are primarily in corporate governance, ESG and integrated reporting. Having published work in these areas at international level, Louise is an active participant in the academic community and also regularly delivers professional training to practitioners.
