With the year end nearly upon us, the Practice Consulting Team are going to provide an overview of the key financial reporting issues to be mindful of over the coming months for micro, small and medium sized companies preparing their December 2026 Financial Statements using FRS 102 and FRS 105 across the UK and Ireland.
This course reviews the main components of the annual report and provides an understanding of the basis of the company’s past performance so as to form a reasoned assessment of its prospective future performance.It examines challenges encountered in analysing annual reports and provides exposure to ratios and techniques used in assessing financial statements.
A practical look at the mechanics of consolidations using spreadsheets. Participants will be encouraged to build up the consolidation with the presenter and then work on an example consolidation. The course also looks at consolidation adjustments, including fair value adjustments and intragroup trading as well as associates and joint arrangements accounting and the main differences between IFRS Accounting Standards and FRS 102.
