Government announces extension of fuel relief measures

The Department of Finance has extended the temporary reductions to fuel excise and the National Oil Reserves Agency Levy until 31 August 2026, with a phased restoration of rates to pre- reduction levels taking place between September and December. The temporary enhancement to the Diesel Rebate Scheme for hauliers and road transport operators will remain in place until 30 September 2026.
