At the recent TALC Indirect Taxes subcommittee meeting, Revenue reminded practitioner members that notification letters were issued in April to relevant taxpayers in Revenue’s Large Cases Division, who are likely to fall within phase one of VAT modernisation rollout in Ireland. Agents were also issued with a tailored notice at the time.
Revenue reported that there has been a relatively low level of engagement since the letters were issued and encouraged the representative bodies at the meeting to urge members to encourage clients to review the correspondence and engage with Revenue as required.
