Book

In this book, June Menton gives practical advice on keeping basic financial records and takes you through financial control, reporting and preparing accounts for small businesses. Crack the Books is an essential guide for people starting a business, as well as trainee accountants and non-accountants seeking to gain insight into accounting principles and effective financial management. It demystifies the jargon and technical terms.

Crack the Books is a beautifully designed, full colour and easy to follow text, which any reader will enjoy.

"Rather than being daunted by getting on top of the financials all of a sudden, this book shows you how to grasp things in chunks and absorb them. Then you can use Crack the Books as a reference when you need. As well as showing you what to do with sample documents, etc. It also explains concepts and methodologies in clear terms. One of the best things about this book is the practical examples. The imaginary business owner 'John' appears several times, making various transactions, etc. which makes the whole area of book keeping more accessible."
