This comprehensive textbook on managing organisations from a strategic perspective covers a broad range of topics, from leadership and organisational culture through to the evaluation of strategic options and the implementation of strategy. It is aimed at both undergraduate and postgraduate business students, as well as those preparing for final examinations of the professional accountancy bodies.

Subjects covered include:

  • leadership and corporate culture;
  • creating a vision for the organisation;
  • corporate governance, business ethics and 'environnmental, social and governance' (ESG);
  • analysis of the business environment and strategic capability;

The Author

Gerry Gallagher D. Governance, M.Bus, C. Dip A&F, MMII Grad,  B.Sc (Mgmt), is Managing Director of GBCL Governance Ltd, which provides consulting services in corporate governance and strategy for a wide variety of organisations. Previously, Gerry lectured in the Munster technological University for two decades at undergraduate level as well as on the Master of Business and MBA programmes. He also taught for a number of years on the Final Admitting Examination programme of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Gerry is a former Irish Army officer with experience in operational units, Army Headquarters and on active service with the United Nations in Lebanon.
