The theme of this year’s Technology Conference is "Post Pandemic – Threats and Opportunities" and will focus on future trends and developments in how we work and collaborate using technology. By the end, accountants in both business and practice and other business professionals will be better equipped to understand the latest technological and online developments and how they could impact their organisation and ways of work.
Jeremy Twomey
Jeremy in his role as Practice Consulting Manager works to support our member practitioners across our service areas, with a particular focus on compliance support, training and our associated advisory services. Jeremy is a Fellow of the Institute, having trained with Ernst & Young; he has held senior management positions across both financial and professional services, as well as the public sector. Prior to joining the Institute in August 2017, Jeremy ran his own consulting business providing Corporate Governance, Internal Audit and Risk related services.
Anne Brady
Anne is a Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor. Prior to starting her own practice, Anne both trained and worked in KPMG. She is currently Director of Business Advisory at Crowleys DFK. Anne has extensive experience working with Foreign Direct Investment into Ireland. She specialises in advising charities and not for profit organisations. She has acted as Project Director on a number of construction projects for charity clients. Anne sits on a number of Boards of Directors, Audit Committees and Finance and Governance Committees. Anne Chairs the Chartered Accountants Ireland Technology Committee.
Kevin Empey
Kevin Empey is Founder and Managing Director of WorkMatters, a Future of Work consulting and training firm set up in 2017 to help business leaders, HR practitioners to navigate the changing world of work. A former Partner of Willis Towers Watson, Kevin is also the Director of the Senior Leadership Programme in the Irish Management Institute. He was named on the HR Most Influential Thinkers list in 2022 and has also received several national and international awards for his contributions to Future of Work research, social entrepreneurship and employment & labour policy.
Mary Purcell
Mary has over 20 years HR and Business leadership experience at a senior level, globally and in Ireland.She has worked as Head of HR with Storm Technology since 2020. Storm Technology is an Irish owned and operated business technology consultancy company. Mary holds a BSc in Marketing & Business from TU Dublin, an MSc in Business (Organisational Behaviour) from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Business, Executive & Personal Coaching from the Coach Institute of Ireland.
Safwan Youseph
Safwan is a product leader, currently working as a VP of Product for Bayzat, a HR and Payroll SaaS company in Dubai. In his current role, he is responsible for the growth an expansion of the product into new markets and customer segments. He is also a Product coach and a mentor in various product organizations and forums.
