CPD for Responsible Individuals - Ireland

Welcome to the Chartered Accountants Ireland Hub for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Responsible Individuals (RI) in Ireland. The information here will provide a RI with the tools required to navigate their CPD compliance obligations effective from 1 January 2022 in Ireland. The Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) Guidelines for RABs on the regulation, monitoring, and enforcement of continuing education for statutory auditors (IAASA’s CPD Guidelines’) came into effect on 1 January 2022 and apply to all statutory auditors (‘RIs’) in Ireland.  

All RIs approved and supervised by the Institute, whether members of the Institute or another Recognised Accountancy Body, are required to demonstrate compliance with the CPD obligations set out in IAASA’s CPD Guidelines and now reflected in the Institute’s Audit Regulations and Guidance, Ireland (effective 6 April 2022).
