Our client a leading Renewable Energy Company that is targeting the delivery of at least 1 GW of renewable energy by 2030, which would power an estimated 730,000 homes and make a significant contribution to Ireland’s commitment to produce 80% of electricity from renewable sources by the end of the decade. The company has an outsourced Financial Operations (FO) function operated by a Big 4 Firm) and, due to increased workload as projects move into the delivery phase, is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant. This role will provide the successful candidate excellent hands-on experience in a fast-paced renewables company.
The Financial Accountant will have responsibility for all aspects of project financial reporting in addition to managing the vendor and AP process and supporting the Finance Manager in all aspects of Finacial Control and Governance.
Responsibilities
· Preparation of month end journals, accruals & prepayments
· Reviewing and reporting on monthly management accounts
· Project reporting and co-ordination of project reports for Steering Group review
· Vendor and accounts payable management
· Accounts receivable management
· Reviewing and reporting on monthly management accounts
· Review of VAT and other expenditure tax returns
· Assisting in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements
· Assisting in the preparation of monthly Board reports
· FuturEnergy Ireland point of contact for Internal audits
· General business support to the Executive Management team
Experience and Qualifications
Newly qualified/1+ year PQE with recognised accounting qualification (ACA)
High level of technical accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
