Traditional Financial Accountant role
55/60k + bens - Onsite 5 days – East Meath - Report to FC
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant, who will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This is a key role, which requires responsibility for Accounting Operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, General ledger, bank reconciliations, and revenue returns, performance analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
THE JOB:
Company Financial Accountant - Reporting to the Financial Controller, The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual budgets.
• Maintenance of creditors ledger including posting creditor invoices and reconciling to third
party supplier statements, investigate and follow up on discrepancies.
• Prepare Bank reconciliations.
• Maintenance of Debtors Ledger, customers invoices for services provided.
• Reconcile Balance sheets control accounts.
• Preparation of Weekly and Monthly payroll EFT payments. Liaising with the HR department and working with the payroll portal on reports and approvals.
• Preparation of VAT Returns on a bi-monthly basis on ROS
• Preparation and filing of Return of Trading details on an annual basis.
• Complete month end processing on Sage Professional and finalise Trial Balance and other month end reports.
• Assist with external Auditors.
• Participate in Financial projects.
• Various other administrative duties including secretarial duties for director, minute taking,
letter preparation, filing, emailing professional advisors, management of post.
Qualifications and Experience
• ACA – Recently qualified
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy accounts department or similar
experience in an Accounts payable role.
• IT Skills: Sage Professional or similar software accounts package experience would be an
advantage. Have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Office.
