Dundalk Institute of Technology

Exemption criteria - BA Accounting and Finance

To claim exemptions from any part of CA Proficiency 1 (CAP1), candidates must achieve a minimum of a 2.ii honours degree.  A mark of 50% in all relevant subjects is required and candidates must meet the criteria for individual subject exemptions.

Finance FNCE B8006 Strategic Financial Management (Minimum mark of 50% required)
Management Accounting ACCT B8006 Management Accounting (Minimum mark of 50% required)
ACCT B8004 Cost & Management Accounting (Minimum mark of 40% required)
Financial Accounting ACCT B8007 Corporate Reporting & Accountability (Minimum mark of 50% required)
ACCT B8005 Financial Accounting (Minimum mark of 40% required)
ACCT B8002 Foundation Accounting (Minimum mark of 40% required)
Taxation FNCE H3019 Taxation 1 (Minimum mark of 50% required)
FNCE H3013 Taxation 2 (Minimum mark of 50% required)

To claim an exemption from Law, candidates must achieve a minimum of a 2.ii honours degree. A mark of 50% in all relevant subjects is required and candidates must meet the criteria for individual subject exemptions. Law for Accountants must be passed before enrolment onto the FAE programme.
