We are now working with Digitary CORE to facilitate students submitting secure electronic versions of their transcripts in support of eligibility and exemption applications.  A number of awarding bodies use the Digitary CORE functionality.  If you have studied with any of the listed bodies* and qualified on or after 2015 please avail of this functionality. This brief video outlines how you can share transcripts with us.

Please note we will only accept transcripts shared with us via our dedicated inbox.  We cannot accept shares by email link or password. Please then scan your completed eligibility and exemption form to studentqueries@charteredaccountants.ie.

UCD We will continue to accept digital shares of UCD transcripts. Students should enable their transcripts for 3rd party verification and email studentqueries@charteredaccountants.ie a copy of the transcripts ensuring the Document ID and Person ID are both listed. Please include your completed eligibility and exemption form in this email also.

Maynooth University

During the COVID-19 pandemic if you are not sending transcripts via Digitary CORE or you are not a UCD/Maynooth University graduate, please ensure you scan your application to studentqueries@charteredaccountants.ie in advance of posting it to us. Other degree programmes

(non-accredited degree programmes)

The awarding of exemptions isn't restricted to accredited degrees only - other programmes from recognised third level education providers can give students exemptions. Usually these programmes will give partial CAP 1 exemptions, but there are often exceptions.

If you have completed a non-accredited degree, the application process is the same as with accredited; we'll just need a little more information from you. As well as your transcripts of results for each year of study, you'll need to send in your course module descriptors and examples of exam papers. We accept applications from programmes overseas, and all documents sent to us must be translated into English by a certified service. Please note, applicants for our programe must reside on the island of Ireland.

Post graduate programmes

We have also accredited a number of post-graduate masters programmes for exemptions from our CAP 1 and CAP 2 exams. Please click the button below for more details.
