Queens University Belfast

Exemption criteria - BSc in Accounting

To claim exemptions from any part of CA Proficiency 1 (CAP1), candidates must achieve a minimum of a 2.ii honours degree. Candidates must meet the criteria and have a clear pass without compensation in all relevant modules identified below; and the specific criteria regarding pass marks for each subject as outlined. Details of criteria are available from the university.

Management Accounting ACC3011 Advanced Management Accounting (Minimum mark of 50% required)
ACC2005 Management Accounting (Minimum mark of 40% required)
ACC1003 Introductory Management Accounting (previously introduction to Accounting II) (Minimum mark of 40% required)
Financial Accounting ACC3010 Advanced Financial Accounting (Minimum mark of 50% required)
ACC2004 Financial Accounting (Minimum mark of 40% required)
AC1001 Introductory Financial Accounting (previously Introductory Accounting I) (Minimum mark of 40% required)
Taxation ACC3012 Taxation (Minimum mark of 50% required)
Law for Accountants ACC3024 Law of Business Organisation (Minimum mark of 50% required)
ACC1005 or ACC2001 Introduction to Legal Study & Basic Contract Law (Minimum mark of 40% required)
