Margaret D’Arcy

Margaret D’Arcy holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from DCU and is an Associate of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She has extensive experience in delivering courses for professional accounting examinations. Margaret has been lecturing for over 15 years and has taught both management and financial accounting for both third level and professional education courses. Previous to her lecturing and teaching career, Margaret held a number of roles in financial institutions in such areas as retail banking, treasury and international operations.

Gabrielle Dillon

Gabrielle Dillon is an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Director of Dermot O’Brien & Associates. With over 18 years’ experience in VAT, she previously worked as a VAT Manager for BDO. Gabrielle has lectured in VAT for the Irish Tax Institute as well as other professional bodies. She is the regular author of VAT Cases & VAT News in the Irish Tax Review and is a member of its Editorial Board.

Mark Doyle

Mark Doyle is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. He is also a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland (CCAB-I) Taxation Committee and was chairman of the Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC) capital committee in 2015. Mark was director of taxation with Grant Thornton in Dublin, where he worked from 2004 to 2012. He is Director of the firm Doyle Keaney Tax Advisors where he specialises in providing tax consultancy services to other accountancy firms and advisors. Mark’s main focus is on property-related transactions, succession planning, corporate reorganisations, incorporation, asset protection, and capital, corporate and income tax planning. He is a regular contributor of articles to publications such as Accountancy Ireland and tax.point, and he lectures on tax regularly for various professional bodies.

Dermot Duff

Dermot Duff

Dermot Duff is Strategic Company Projects Co-ordinator and a Module Leader for the MBA in Career Development at Trinity College Dublin, and an Executive Learning Director at the Irish Management Institute. He specialises in the strategic developmental of organisations, particularly professional firms. Dermot has held senior management positions in ITT Alcatel in Holland and Digital Equipment Corporation. He is a member of the boards of several companies and continues as a business advisor and coach for Enterprise Ireland. He is co-author of Strategic Cost Reduction, now in its second edition (published by Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2012). Dermot holds a BE (Eng) from UCD and a MSc (Mngt) from TCD.

David W Duffy

David W. Duffy

David W. Duffy is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is the founder and CEO of The Governance Company, which specialises in corporate strategy and corporate governance. A graduate in business from Trinity College, Dublin, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London and holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. David has extensive corporate governance consulting experience and has been writing books on the subject since 2004, including A Practical Guide to Corporate Governance (Chartered Accountants Ireland, 2014). David has substantial experience as a director on the boards of commercial, philanthropic, social services and sporting organisations.
