CPD Blitzes 2025

Our most popular CPD event of the year, the CPD Blitz series returns in 2025 with 3 in person events and 2 virtual events, specifically tailored for their respective jurisdictions. Attracting 10 CPD hours per event these sessions have been carefully curated to include subject material that addresses the latest technical updates in financial reporting, taxation and company law. A pre-recorded boxset of additional material is available to all participants after the event, covering a range of diverse topics.

  •  Adam is the Founder and CEO of AsIAm, Ireland's Autism Charity. 
  •  Adam was appointed to the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission in July 2020 and served as a Executive Council Member for Autism Europe. 
  • He is a Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awardee and has sat on and advised many government consultative and policy committees on disability rights and inclusion, which have helped shape national policies for a more inclusive society.

  • Dympna is a director in the Financial Reporting Advisory team in Deloitte and as over 12 years’ experience providing audit and advisory services with a focus on International Financial Reporting Standards. 
  • Dympna has 12 years’ experience in practice including time in audit and accounting advisory and significant experience in respect of International Financial Reporting Standards as adopted by the European Union (“IFRS”), the suite of Irish GAAP frameworks (including FRS 101 and FRS 102) and US GAAP.
  • Provides CPD and training sessions on a wide range of accounting topics in various industries.

  • Maura set up her own tax advisory firm, Gintax, in 2020 – focused on Irish private business, from the startup tech sector to well-established family-owned operations.
  • Prior to starting Gintax, Maura worked for KPMG for over 16 years, from the graduate program to director, servicing a range of clients from multinationals to family offices.

  • Tom is a highly experienced tax professional with a distinguished career. He began as an HMRC Inspector, eventually becoming the Head of the Edinburgh Tax Office.
  • Following his tenure at HMRC, Tom joined EY as a Director of Tax Risk Management for the UK & Ireland.
  • He then became a Partner of Tax at Baker Tilly. Tom joined PGR Advisory this year to provide expert assistance in enquiry mitigation and resolution.

John Darby

  • John, BCL, is a Senior Legal Counsel with PM Group
  • John is a frequent speaker in the areas of corporate and company law and lecturer on the Law Society’s Professional Course on Business Law and its diploma courses on Company Law and Corporate Governance.
  • Has practised in-house with Diageo plc, Bord Gais Eireann and the Coca-Cola Company.
  • John’s main areas of practise are corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.  He has advised numerous domestic and international clients in a wide variety of business sectors, including project management, media, motor distribution, telecommunications and food and agri.
