Financial Controller
Overview of the Role
This is a hands-on Financial Controller role with full responsibility for the finance function onsite.
The role sits on the management team and works closely with the Managing Director, with responsibility for financial control, reporting, and supporting operational decision-making.
This is not a purely strategic role - the successful candidate will need to be comfortable operating across both leadership and day-to-day finance activities within a lean team.
Core Focus of the Role
• Lead, manage and develop the finance team
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Own the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts (aligned to PCI reporting timelines)
• Ensure full tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax)
• Oversee payroll processes and controls
• Manage group financial reporting requirements and engagement with PCI
In addition, the role requires a hands-on approach across core finance operations, including oversight of AP/AR, cashflow, inventory and ERP-driven processes.
Key Priorities
• Deliver a robust and timely month-end close and reporting cycle
• Strengthen financial control across inventory and working capital
• Maintain continuity and oversight across payroll and core finance operations
• Build strong relationships with auditors, advisors and internal stakeholders
• Support decision-making through clear, accurate financial insight
• Drive process improvements across systems and reporting (IQMS)
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a balanced, hands-on Financial Controller.
Key Requirements
• Qualified Accountant (ACA / FCA)
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar operational environment, preferred but not essential
• Strong experience in monthly close and management accounts
• Exposure to inventory, costing and stock control
• Experience dealing with audits and external stakeholders
• Strong ERP/systems experience

• Strong ownership and accountability
• Able to operate at both detail and strategic level
• Collaborative and commercially aware
Role Fit (Important)
This role would suit:
• A Finance Manager ready to take full ownership of a finance function, or
• An experienced Financial Controller from a small to mid-sized or lean organisation
It will not suit someone looking for a purely strategic or highly resourced finance leadership role.
Location & Working Model
The role is fully site-based in Co. Wicklow.
Given the operational and hands-on nature of the role, we are seeking candidates within a reasonable commuting distance who can be consistently present onsite.
There may be very occasional travel to the US, however this is expected to be infrequent.
